Boulder-Lhasa Sister City Project (BLSCP) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) public charity formed in 1986 in Boulder, Colorado, which develops and implements non-political exchanges of mutual benefit with Lhasa, Tibet, including surrounding areas, in health care, education, environmental protection, science & technology, agriculture & animal husbandry, and culture & art. Boulder is Tibet's only sister city in the United States.

The Dagyab Association (Dagyab e.V.) - Development and Relief Projects for the Tibetan Region of Dagyab. It was founded at the initiative of Dagyab Kyabgön Rinpoche and has carried out a number of impressive projects since then. The people in Dagyab feel encouraged and highly motivated by the Association's contributions in the four areas of traditional Tibetan medicine, schools, art handicrafts and nunneries.

The Good Fortune Trust is an Australian initiative that supports Tibetan Buddhist monks and nuns — inside Tibet and in exile in India. The Good Fortune Trust is rebuilding Khangmar Monastery, a small and very poor monastery in eastern Tibet. It is the home monastery of Geshe Tashi Tsering, the Trust’s patron and inspiration.

Heart of Asia is a newly founded charitable organisation based in Worcestershire in the United Kingdom. Organisation provides healthcare for remote communities In Tibet. The Chinese government is focusing its healthcare resources in urban areas where it is only available to those who can afford to pay for it. More than eighty percent of Tibetans live in remote and often very inaccessible rural and nomadic areas. There is little healthcare within these communities and no modern (allopathic) medicine at all.

Jinpa is a small charity working in the remote area, West Nangchen, Qinghai Province of what was once Eastern Tibet. The area is just over the border from Riwoche in the Tibetan Autonomous Region. Jinpa was founded by a monk Tashi Tsering (co-ordinator) and friends to help to relieve some of the suffering in this area. It is just a drop in the bucket of a very big problem. The poverty, misery and suffering of Tibetan Nomadic people of West Nangchen is completely overwhelming.
