Prison Dharma Network (PDN) was founded in 1989 by Fleet Maull, a federal prisoner then serving a 14-year sentence for drug trafficking. Since its founding, PDN's Books Behind Bars program has provided books on meditation and contemplative spirituality to over 25,000 prisoners in over 900 prisons around the world.

The Tibetan Parliamentary and Policy Research Centre (TPPRC) is a joint project of the Friedrich-Naumann Foundation, a public funded German institution, committed to liberal democratic ideals and engaged in strengthening pluralist development, and the Assembly of Tibetan People's Deputies (ATPD), Tibet's Parliament in exile. Since its inception in 1991, it has been engaged in understanding and dissemination of information on various political aspects related to Tibet with a view to carry forward the global movement of the Tibetan people's struggle for freedom and democracy. Established on 25 September 2007, Tibetan UN Advocacy is a NGO based in Geneva, Switzerland which is the headquarters of the UN Human Rights Treaty Bodies, the UN Human Rights Council and the Office of UN High Commissioner for Human Rights. Tibetan UN Advocacy aims to educate Tibetans about the many institutions of the United Nations, especially when it concerns them.
