The functions of the International Association for Ladakh Studies are to provide contacts between all who are interested in the study of Ladakh, and to disseminate information about proposed and completed research and publications. To do this the IALS organises colloquia (usually every other year), arranges publication of the proceedings, and publishes a biannual newsletter, "Ladakh Studies". Ladakh Ecological Development Group (LEDeG) is a Non-Governmental Organisation, registered as a society in J&K state in 1983. Its goal is to promote ecological and sustainable development of Ladakh, which harmonizes with and builds on the traditional culture. Since its formation in the year 1983, Ladakh Ecological Development Group (LEDeG), Leh, has been striving to address the environmental, economic and cultural issues affecting the communities residing in the structurally disadvantaged areas of Ladakh. Ladakh Students Welfare Society Delhi, an association of Ladakh students studying in Delhi was formed as Ladakh Students Union in the year 1975. Its main objective at that time was to bring the Ladakh students community in Delhi to think and work together for the welfare of Ladakh. During the session of 2005-06 Ladakh Students Union got registered under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 and came to be known as Ladakh Students Welfare Society. About Siddhartha School

Khen Rinpoche Lobzang Tsetan, a Tibetan Buddhist monk and educator, founded the Siddhartha School in 1995 in his remote home village of Stok, Ladakh. The Siddhartha School gives the children of Ladakh access to the highest-quality, thoroughly modern education in the region, while also honoring their life-ways and traditions in the curriculum and school activities. Children at the Siddhartha School learn Tibetan, study Chos (Buddhist Scripture), pray and meditate daily.
