The Everest Peace Project is a peace organization that consists of individuals who have come together to promote peace, teamwork, and cultural understanding. The Everest Peace Project is not a religious organization nor does it have any political agenda. The general objectives are to protect, develop and study the religion, arts, culture, script, language, history, literature and philosophy of Sherpa community in Nepal . To provide basic health care services and public health facilities accessible to the Sherpa society as far as possible; To provide necessary facilities and hall for those who are facing great difficulties when they or their family dies, in mean time for post-orbital rites; To provide free Ambulance service for poor people when they face difficult; To provide Holy Lamas in their needs as per their own culture; To protect Sherpa culture, religion scripts and researches; To guide on the way of mental and spiritual peace teaching Buddha's way; To manage yearly Lhopsu and Sherpa Traditional Programs. The traditional Sherpa house is built in the old design. It has all the old artefacts in its original place resembling the Sherpa way of life in the past, before the tourism began. The house consists of a family living room upstairs with a seperate family praying chappel. IPPG aims to improve safety and health for porters working in the mountains for the trekking industry worldwide. We work to eradicate avoidable illness, injury and death. We do this by raising awareness of the issues among travel companies, guides, trek leaders, sirdars (porters foremen), and trekkers. IPPG also supports porters in their quest for a decent wage and freedom from overloading.

United Sherpa Association Inc (Sherpa Kyidug) is a non-profit, non-political, non-partisan, autonomous social organization, which aims to integrate the entire community by providing common platform for conserving and promoting of Sherpa language, scripts, religion , culture, arts and other areas of common interest in New York and beyond. It will develop the linkages and instrumental promoting a better understanding, mutual cooperation and unity within the Sherpa community and other communities living in and outside the United States.
