Tibetan Childrens Village School selakui, located at Dehradun (India) is one of the branch schools of TCV organization, affiliated to CBSE New Delhi. The school was formally inaugurated on 6th July 2004 by the then president of TCV organization Ama Jetsun Pema la accompanied by the then Education Director Mr. Nawang Dorjee, Executive Director Mr. Tsewang Yeshi, school Principal Mr. Duke Tsering and staff and the students of the school.

Tibetan SOS Vocational Training centre, funded by SOS Kinderdorf, Austria, is under the administration of the Tibetan Children's Village. The next session (2010 Batch) starts from 1st August 2010 (24th July for Professional Computer Application). SOS VTC was founded with the objective of providing the Tibetan youth with a range of technical skills in various trades so that they can serve in industries and community centers in and abroad India or set up their own business for self-employment.

This project was conceived in the autumn of 2004 and following communication with the Tibetan government in exile, the Managing Trustee travelled to Northern India to research the idea of building a school thereby helping the present Tibetan situation. As a charity we have since been working closely and in conjunction with the CTA’s Department of Education. The Department of Education has been very cooperative and helpful in advising how best to apply the resources that our charity can provide.

Yongling Crèche & Kindergarten was voluntarily initiated by an individual youth in 1984. Tibetan Parents of Dharamsala helped him. They wanted to build up this small Crèche & Kindergarten for the many young children who were not old enough to attend the day school but needed a place to be while their parents were at work. Initially the basic idea was to ask for some initiative from the parents on the education of their children. The school was named after the late Senior Tutor of H. H. Dalai Lama who was very kind to Tibetans by giving a very good monastic education to H.H. the Dalai Lama. Phone: 01892-221028 / 01892-220776
