Education

Since 2001 I have started to help local children in Xizang to go to school because I love the land and people here. I provided them with tuition and expenses for schools and hope they can accomplish school courses. For example, students from Gyebumgang Primary School (in Lhasa City), ThulLong Dechen high school, Nyetang Township Drongshin School, Chofu Shiwang Primary School, Ma Township Drongshin School, Lhasa Middle School, Xizang University and all county schools and village schools in Sagya County. My main attention for support students was in Sagya County.

Yongling Crèche & Kindergarten was voluntarily initiated by an individual youth in 1984. Tibetan Parents of Dharamsala helped him. They wanted to build up this small Crèche & Kindergarten for the many young children who were not old enough to attend the day school but needed a place to be while their parents were at work. Initially the basic idea was to ask for some initiative from the parents on the education of their children. The school was named after the late Senior Tutor of H. H. Dalai Lama who was very kind to Tibetans by giving a very good monastic education to H.H. the Dalai Lama. Phone: 01892-221028 / 01892-220776

The central aims of YOTA are to create employment, self-employment and training opportunities for youths across Asia. In addition to this we aim to assist with individuals' personal and professional development and other needs such as health and education. YOTA is an initiative carried out by the Tibet Relief Fund of the UK. In India, it will work through an independent Indian trust Youth Opportunity Trust.
