Celebrating the Return - A Gathering of Disciple: Empowerment of the Rangjung Peme Nyingtik. The main event of Celebrating the Return is A Gathering of Disciples held for two days in Vermont and Colorado. Dilgo Khyentse Yangsi Rinpoche will bestow the empowerment for the Rangjung Peme Nyingtik, one of the most precious mind termas revealed by Kyabje Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche. We will receive the empowerment itself on the first day, and on the second, practice the Rangjung Peme Nyingtik, with Khyentse Yangsi Rinpoche leading us, concluding with a celebratory tsog. Since 2000, this group has been meeting weekly to study Buddhist thought and practice meditation together. We learn from a variety of Buddhist teachers – both Western and Tibetan. We are associated with the Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition (FPMT). Our study encompasses subjects from the Lam Rim, the graded path to enlightenment.

H. H. Pema Norbu Rinpoche named him Ogyen Gyurmed, when he was 10 days old. H. H. Dudjom Rinpoche also named him Ogyen Gyurmed Wanggyal. (which means Odriyana, the place of Guru Padmasambava, unchangeable, powerful victory). In 1978, on the 10th day of the Monkey month, at the holy Jarung Khashor stupa in Nepal, he was formally recognized by His Holiness Dudjom Rinpoche, the crown jewel of the Nyingma Lineage and the regent of Guru Padmasambhava. Who I am today has evolved through my connections with Tibetan Vajrayana Buddhism, Hakomi, and Matrixworks. I am a practitioner and teacher in the Nyingma lineage of Tibetan Vajrayana Buddhism and a practitioner and teacher of the Hakomi Method and Matrixworks. These paths all share the goal of getting out of our "history", experiencing ourselves authentically, and living in the relational world with compassion.

Zang thal is a Tibetan Dzogchen term with a range of meanings including " totally open, unimpeded, transparent, directly penetrating", describing the clarity of awareness of our true Nature of Mind. It seemed to me a good name for this site, in which I aim to share my translations of Tibetan Buddhist texts and teachings, especially those relating to Dzogchen, the Great Perfection.
