It was in 1978 that the monastery of Ngor Ewam Tcheu Den was established in northern India in the area named Manduwala. The construction of the temple and the monk's living quarters wasn't completed until 1988. Today, the monastery shelters a community of around 200 monks of which many are children. They spend their days in the study and the practice, as well as in the recitation of long rituals, thus maintaining the precious tradition of this lineage, enabling it to prosper.
