Engaging Digital Tibet was created to enhance the teaching and learning of Tibetan material history. The site contains an advanced, searchable repository of Tibetan objects, as well as unique features for creating and sharing descriptive annotations about the objects and their significant parts, allowing for a collaborative decoding and description of Tibetan culture itself.

The Mind & LIfe Institute is dedicated to fostering dialogue and research at the highest possible level between modern science and the great living contemplative traditions, especially Buddhism. It builds on a deep commitment to the power and value of both of these ways of advancing knowledge and their potential to alleviate suffering.

In keeping with the University of Virginia’s commitment to fostering a liberal arts education that is both globally aware and interdisciplinary in nature, the Tibet Center was founded to bring together faculty, students, and staff at UVa with those at other universities and also other individuals and organizations, to promote a deeper understanding of Tibet’s histories, cultures, and peoples. While the Tibet Center serves as a hub for educational programs, research initiatives, and publication projects which advance the field of Tibetan Studies, it also aims to develop and support programs that will bring social benefit to Tibetan communities.

The Tibet Society UK is the world’s first ever Tibet support group. It was founded in 1959, within weeks of the flight of the Dalai Lama from Tibet following the uprising against Chinese occupation. The Tibetan Parliamentary and Policy Research Centre (TPPRC) is a joint project of the Friedrich-Naumann Foundation, a public funded German institution, committed to liberal democratic ideals and engaged in strengthening pluralist development, and the Assembly of Tibetan People's Deputies (ATPD), Tibet's Parliament in exile.
