Established on 25 September 2007, Tibetan UN Advocacy is a NGO based in Geneva, Switzerland which is the headquarters of the UN Human Rights Treaty Bodies, the UN Human Rights Council and the Office of UN High Commissioner for Human Rights. Tibetan UN Advocacy aims to educate Tibetans about the many institutions of the United Nations, especially when it concerns them. The Tibetan Parliamentary and Policy Research Centre (TPPRC) is a joint project of the Friedrich-Naumann Foundation, a public funded German institution, committed to liberal democratic ideals and engaged in strengthening pluralist development, and the Assembly of Tibetan People's Deputies (ATPD), Tibet's Parliament in exile. Since its inception in 1991, it has been engaged in understanding and dissemination of information on various political aspects related to Tibet with a view to carry forward the global movement of the Tibetan people's struggle for freedom and democracy. Dear Friends of Tibet, with this homepage of the Tibet Intergroup of the European Parliament, which has around 100 MEPs as members, we aim to intensify our contact with the national MPs, human rights activists, NGOs and also many young people who have committed themselves to the case of Tibet. We also want to provide up-to-date and comprehensive news on the political and human-rights situation there. By providing background on our current activities we aim to give new impulses for raising awareness about the situation in Tibet, the cultural and religious repression, and the major human rights violations taking place there.

The Tibet Fund was founded in 1981 at a time when the international community had seemingly forgotten the people of Tibet, though they remained under Chinese occupation. Over the past 28 years, The Tibet Fund has worked closely with the Central Tibetan Administration to address the health, educational, cultural, economic and community development needs of the refugee community. The Tibet Foundation was established in 1985 with the aims of providing healthcare, education and social economic support for people of Tibetan origin, both those living in exile, and those living in Tibet itself. It provides facilities to create a greater awareness of Tibetan culture and works to ensure its preservation, also to make available the thoughts and ideas of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, spreading his message of peace and harmony.
